On to Coeur d'Alene

8:00 AM on Tuesday morning found us leaving Horne Rapids RV Park for our journey to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The drive is an easy 180 miles and except for the light on my Brake Pro monitor blinking "problem" to me it was uneventful.  The battery in the CRV was dead,,,again. It happened when we got to Pendleton but I blamed it on driving for two long days without running the car a lot. This time we started with a fully charged battery and had only gone 150 miles.

After settling in at Blackwell Island RV Park and charging the battery we went to Sears to have them check the Diehard. The test said the battery was fine so on returning to the Winnebago I put the charger on and started to blame the Brake Pro.

Without running anything, on Wednesday morning the battery was dead. So... back to Sears for a new battery.

On Tuesday evening we went to dinner at Applebees with my cousin Dick Jurvelin and his wife Jill. The Applebees was scheduled for remodel and they needed to clear out all of the memorabilia covering the walls. They agreed to donate the memorabilia to the foundation at Windemere Realtors where Dick works and at 8:00 PM they begin an auction that lasted until after midnight and yielded over $5,000 for the foundation. Dick and I brought our portable drills and spent the evening removing memorabilia.
